Sound as Object Class

2014

The Fall 2014 Sound as Object Integrated Media class presents their end-of-semester installation. The sound installation explores spatial transitions by amplifying and re-amplifying recorded sounds from four unique environments. The hanging cardboard boxes function both as formal representations of space and resonant chambers.

This piece is presented by students Jihyun Kim (MFA Art), Carlos Brache (MFA Art), Christina Santa Cruz (MFA Art and Technology), and Jacob Halpern (MFA Graphic Design) under the guidance of instructor Stephanie Smith.

Sound as Object was installed in The WaveCave from December, 2nd to December 8th, 2014.
